Hi-Speed Internet at Camp? If it's so wrong why does it feel so right?

Well, it is wrong. I think it's okay to have hi-speed internet (wireless for that matter) access at camp, but not IN the dorms where people sleep. There is something wrong about that. But I've taken advantage of it. I've played counter-strike a couple nights now. And currently I'm posting to you fine people and hopefully if I don't run out of time I'll post some more pictures.

So my week off was good. I was a bit stressed. It didn't really feel like a break with all the activity, but that's okay. It was necessary and fun activity. I think it was just wierd because it felt so much like I was done with team by the end of the break and guess what...no I have 2.5 months left. But that's cool. Marcus's bachelor party went fairly well I'd say. I think he had a good time which is really what matters. It was tame by American standards, but still had some of the basic feel of a "typical" bachelor party.

Now the team is at a camp in WI with all the other international teams going through VBS training (Vacation Bible School). We are going to be involved in at least 3 VBSes this summer so we are getting trained in the ones that YE has sent out to churches as resources. Man are they hokey. Just plain not good. Oh well. It's really fricking good to see the other international teams. I have a couple of close friends on other teams and it is really good to talk with non-team members who understand team life.

I'm tired and worn out but I'm also ready for 2.5 more months. I just am beginning to look forward to off-team so much that it is probably clouding team for me now. But, overall I'm alright. I get to see family and friends a couple of times during the summer so that'll be cool.

So that's it for now because I can't make this super intersting while trying to hold a couple IM convos and worrying about the fact that I have 10min to post some new pictures. I'll be more interesting later, for now...boring updates.

in Christ,
jason
